Following our visit to a local dairy farm I decided to do some follow up work with EYFS. The children had learnt about farming in the past and I set up an activity for the children to have a go at milking a cow. I used a rubber glove with pin holes at the fingertips. I then placed sponges in the fingers to stop the water flowing out. I attached the glove to a stand with a drawing of a cow in front. The children then took it in turns to squeeze the udders and milk the cow!
